Marius the Ranger

In the Kruger Park, you can walk in the bush to meet the animals close up. It is an amazing experience. You start at sunrise and you just walk into the wild, often looking around to see if a lion is running towards you...You get two armed rangers to protect you, teach you how to track animals, and mostly how to recognize their poo (or even better how fresh the poo is by touching it). Our ranger that day was a real movie on his own. Meet Marius the Ranger with his big rifle. He admitted having been in Congo & Rwanda but did not say what for (a lot of mercenaries have a similar profile). Anyway it's good to see a former mercenary get on his knees to touch elephant dung to tell you an elephant was here 30 minutes ago.
When the day is over, you can relax and watch the sunset drinking more Pinot Noir (I am bringing some back no worries)
